Partnership Change

12th August 2015

On 1st September 2015 Dr O'Neill and Dr White are changing from full time to part time work in a job sharing arrangement. As a result, both doctors will be splitting their list of patients creating two lists, one of which they will care for between them, the other will be looked after by our newly appointed partner, Dr Fiona Black. All patients on Dr O'Neill and Dr White's lists will receive a letter to say who their usual GP will be.

New Doctor

1st August 2015

We are pleased to announce that Dr Fiona Black as joined the practice as a full time GP Partner. Dr Black has been with us for the past year as a Registrar and we are delighted that she has chosen to continue her career with us.

Electronic Prescriptions

31st July 2014

Prescriptions can now be sent to pharmacies electronically, removing the need for patients to collect paper prescriptions from their GP practice.

Telephone Problems

We are experiencing problems with our telephone system, particularly during busy periods (8am - 10am). We are currently waiting for our telephone provider to install a more suitable system. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

Scam E-mail Warning

19th March 2014

Please be aware that a spam e-mail is going around to personal e-mail accounts, appearing to be from NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence). The e-mail states that recent blood tests have shown abnormalities suggestive of cancer, and to make an appointment with their GP.

The e-mail - the subject line of which is 'important blood analysis result' - is false and any attachments should not be opened. NICE is advising people who have received the email to delete it without opening it and not to click on any links.

NICE is aware of the issue and has posted information on their website.

Partnership Changes

From Monday 21st October, Dr Fazluddin and Dr Robinson will be working part-time. When they are not working, their patients will be looked after by Dr David Viva, who will be a new partner at NMC.

Online Appointment Booking Trial

We are currently trialling online appointment booking for flu and shingles vaccinations using SystmOnline. This service is available 24 hours a day and we hope that patients will find it simple and convenient to use. At the moment it will only be possible to book flu and shingles vaccination appointments using SystmOnline but we hope to extend this to a wider range of appointments in the future.

Possible Scam Targeting Elderly Patients

6th August 2013

We have been made aware of a possible scam whereby market researchers target elderly patients. Elderly patients in the Middlesbrough area have received telephone calls from market researchers who have a lot of the patient's personal details, including medical conditions, and seek to make an appointment with the patient in their own home. This could be a genuine organisation but it did cause alarm to the patients and prompted them to contact their GP practice to ask if the practice had provided personal/medical details to this organisation. This has been reported to the police.

If you are contacted by an organisation such as this, please double check the organisation before making an appointment and alert the police if your are concerned.
