SystmOnline can be used to book appointments, order prescriptions, view test results and view your medical record depending on the level of access you have requested. To help users get the most out of their Online Services we have included video playlists for the web, android and iOS (apple) versions to help update your information, book an appointment and order repeat medication.

About SystmOnline How to sign up to SystmOnline Sign inThe NHS App gives you a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services. Download the NHS App on your smartphone or tablet via the Google play or App store. You can also access the same services in a web browser by logging in through the NHS website.
You can use the app if you are aged 13 or over. You must be registered with an NHS GP surgery in England or the Isle of Man.
You need to prove who you are to get full access to the NHS App. With full access you can:
• order repeat prescriptions and nominate a pharmacy where you would like to collect them
• book and manage appointments
• view your GP health record to see information like your allergies and medicines (if your GP has given you access to your detailed medical record, you can also see information like test results)
• book and manage COVID-19 vaccinations
• register your organ donation decision
• choose how the NHS uses your data
• view your NHS number
• use NHS 111 online to answer questions and get instant advice or medical help near you
Download the NHS App on your smartphone or tablet via Google Play or the App Store. You can also access the same services in a web browser by logging in through the NHS website. You must be aged 13 or over to use the NHS App.
• Enter your email address details in the app and choose a password. (Remember, the email address cannot be shared with another person).
• Confirm the email sent to you by NHS App.
• Provide a mobile phone or landline number.
• Enter the 6-digit security code you are sent.
• Keep your password safe.
You’ll only need to do this once at the start to register.
Photo ID
Register with your photo ID.
• Passport
• UK Driving license (full of provisional)
• Biometric Residence Permit (BRP)
• UK Residence Card, or EEA Biometric Residence Card (including temporary pass)
• European driving licence (full)
• European national identity card
Choose one ID and then submit a photo of this on the app. Provide your postcode. It must be the same one registered with your GP. Your information will then be checked, and a confirmation email will be received in 2-3 days.
Or
If you do not have photo ID, you need the following three registration details to prove who you are. Ask your GP surgery reception team to provide these to you.
1. Linkage key or passphrase
2. ODS Code or Practice ID
3. Account ID
Once confirmation is received, you can use the NHS App to:
• Order repeat prescriptions
• Nominate a pharmacy where you would like to collect your prescriptions from
• Manage appointments
• Contact your GP about a health problem
• View your NHS Number
• Access your medical records

We are occasionally closed for training sessions, please see separate notices in the surgery and on the website for specific dates.

Staff Training - Thursday 19th June 2025 Closed from 12:00 noon - Surgeries in Hartlepool and Stockton, including Norton Medical Centre, will be closed for Protected Learning Time (PIL) If you require routine healthcare, we will open as normal at 8.30am on Friday 20th June 2025. For emergency healthcare, please contact 111 or 999 as appropriate.

The Partners are naturally very disappointed that concerns have been identified by CQC but are eager to address these. Our main priority is to ensure our patients continue to have access to good quality and safe medical care. Patients can be reassured that we are working closely with CQC, the ICB and the LMC, to make the identified improvements following our CQC inspection and patients should continue to access services from this practice as normal.
